Life is good.
Before I get to the pictures, I want to share a sweet Cooper story.
A couple of nights ago, I was reading Cooper a book that had a plane in it. Cooper said, "mama, papa, kara, cooper - russia - home". I said yes, Mama and Papa were home with no children and Cooper and Kara were in Russia with no Mama and Papa. We were a perfect match so we came to Russia to pick you up and bring you home." Cooper said, "No, Russia no more... Mama - home now" and he took my hand and squeezed it and kissed it. It was our FIRST true adoption talk. We've talked to them before about remembering the BIG plane and how cold it was, etc. but I think it's sinking in that they're truly here forever now.
We want them both to feel very comfortable with it and confident about themselves and the only way to feel confident about anything is to do 'it' over and over again so that you know 'it' by heart.
You know what I mean?
Now for the fun stuff, photos!
The kid's school celebrates Valentines Day today and it was so festive there today I had to get a pic-
pretty entrance-way to school
Do you know how hard it is to get a 2 and a 3 year old to stand next to each other and smile at the same time for a simple picture?? Impossible! Here's the proof:
The girl really does have a beautiful smile if she'd ever let go of the paci and show it to you!
Here's one I took awhile back when she was taking a bath:
And here's Coop's pic of him in the bath -
We had these two pics blown up and put them on their bathroom wall.
I did get a good one of Jim and Cooper in the car this morning -
So to be fair, I have to include a pic of me and the kids from last week-
and then, Jim and kids again -
(Please, no negative comments about my shiny face - it was late!)
Ok, ok, only a few more, I promise!
Kara resting in our backyard - if even for a second!
One last pic of the kids horsing around after their bath - silly monkeys!
Yes, life is good and this is the way it's supposed to be.
