I have to say, the first month after traveling to Russia has been pretty quick because we were so busy.
We now have beds, bedding, dressers, bookshelves, car seats, a high-chair, a booster seat, growth charts, toys, books, clothes, shoes, diapers, bath stuff, diapering stuff, decorations for the walls, stuffed animals, blocks, closets set up, garage rearranged to add trikes, strollers, etc., baby-proofed the entire house and garage, we have little kid plates, utensils, bowls, cups, CD’s, DVD’s.…everything you can think of that two toddlers will need – (Hopefully!)
We have confirmed their preschool.
We have confirmed their doctor/dentist.
We’re both caught up at work.
All of our documents are in order, copied, notarized, apostilled and sent to Russia.
Nothing is expiring any time soon.
We even have snowsuits for the kids (just in case we need them).
It’s been 5 weeks now and we’ve been ok.
Until now.
I’m feeling so anxious to see them and hold them and let them know that we will always be there for them, forever.
I can’t wait to see those smiles and feel those little warm, sweet hugs. I’m about to jump out of my skin.
I’ve been listening to a nursery rhyme CD in my car in the mornings – I’m going bananas!!
What else can we do to make the time pass by faster?
Happy Halloween

You sound so preapred, but don't forget to enjoy some along time with each other before those bouncing kiddos come home!!
You are so READY!!!! I agree with Troy and Rachel...enjoy some date nights together! See every movie that you can possibly squeeze in, go out to fancy dinners, etc. You'll be back in Russia very soon!!!
It sounds like you are completely prepared, which is so great!! What I wish I had done more before returning for trip 2--sleep, sleep, and more sleep, have date nights, spend more time with Michael, read parenting magazines, read books I enjoy, etc. I hope you all are able to return very soon to get your kiddos!
I think it is pretty normal to be a bit anxious. Your life is changing in the biggest way possible. You will take it all in stride and everything will work out just fine.

Hang in there! It sounds like you have everything in place so try to enjoy yourselves. I know it is hard. I was always anxious while waiting but this will be over soon.
I was feeling the same way so I decided to go to Micheals and buy lots of scrapbooking stuff to begin on my daughters lifebook. I have never done this before ...so if I can do it anyone can. The next day I got the "court call"! So, I am packing all of my materials and heading to Russia!
Hope you hear something soon!
Nicole
I can tell you're very ready. You can start on their lifebooks.
Hope you get the call soon to go back.
